Missionary Work
The Lord has declared that missionary work is the responsibility of all who follow Him. Members of the Lord’s Church can, by the goodness of their lives and the strength of their testimonies, share the gospel message and help prepare family members, friends, and other acquaintances who are not Latter-day Saints to be taught by the full-time missionaries.

Sharing the Gospel
Love, share, and invite are principles to help you share the gospel with God’s children. As you think about these ideas, pray to Heavenly Father for guidance and opportunities and He will help you.
3 Ways to Get Started:
1. Pray for opportunities to share the gospel

Called to Serve
Have you ever thought about serving a mission? The Savior taught, “If ye have desires to serve God, ye are called to the work,” (Doctrine and Covenants 4:3). Here you can learn about what types of missionary service the Church offers, find answers to some of your questions, and start the process of preparing and applying for a mission. Not all your questions may be answered here, so continue to pray and reach out to trusted family members and church leaders.
Young Teaching Missionaries
Young teaching missionaries’ purpose is to bring people to Jesus Christ. They serve away from home for 18–24 months. Single men ages 18–25 and single women ages 18–29 can serve.
Young Service Missionaries
Young service missionaries’ purpose is to serve God and His children in their local communities while living at home. Assignments are tailored to the needs of the applicant and the needs of the area. Single men ages 18–25 serve for 6–24 months, and single women ages 18–29 serve for 6–18 months.
Senior Missionaries
Senior missionaries are encouraged to find people to teach the gospel of Jesus Christ and serve in additional assignments supporting their local Church leaders, facilities, and charities. Married couples, single women, and single men over the age of 40 can serve for 6 to 23 months away from home.
